About Us

Welcome to Oswald & Kane, a clothing company flying the flag for British manufacturing. We have taken Britain’s long history in tailoring and created a collection to give everyone the opportunity of owning a British manufactured shirt.

We have put a twist on the traditional, classic shirt design and added a few quirky details to bring this look up to date. Our shirts are suitable for all occasions; office, drinks party, or even for walking the dog!

We hope you have fun wearing our clothing and get as much pleasure as we have, creating these shirts.

Made in Britain is a label that in recent years has almost disappeared from clothing. Many companies play on the British theme when items are all made overseas. At Oswald & Kane we do things differently!

We know the level of skills and craftsmanship still exists in Britain and we can showcase this with our shirt collections that combine luxury and British style.

We believe in building a relationship with our manufacturers and using their history in production to push the boundaries in terms of quality for you. Let’s fly the British flag, for British made fashion.

“Made in Britain, created in Britain, designed in Britain”

Hello and welcome to my clothing company –  Oswald & Kane.

Instead of having this section written about me, I thought why not write it personally to you.

I decided to set up Oswald & Kane in the long, hot summer months after I finished my A levels. I had to do something with my time between exams and results day. I had an idea for about a year prior to this, to create a clothing brand, whose clothing was not only influenced by Britain’s history in tailoring but also British made.

A lot of clothing companies proclaim their “Britishness” but fail to actually make any clothes here. I thought it was time that this changed. Instead of going straight to University I decided to launch Oswald & Kane. The tale of the last six years has not been a particularly easy one, with a lot of searching around for the right manufacturers and having samples made. My first collection had to be made in Britain, combined with wonderful quality and top class designs.

The result, a superior collection of shirts, a classic British staple. I thought it was time classic shirts were updated a bit for those times when the dress code dictates smart casual. All the shirts in the Oswald & Kane collection have contrasting inner cuffs and under the collar. I think this is such a nice look as they can be on show creating a more casual look, or hidden for those smarter days in the office. It is like a jacket, it is always nice to have that bright lining!

The past six years have been a very exciting time, and hopefully they will continue far into the future with more people buying British.

So have a look around and fly the flag for British manufacturing and British clothing!

Best wishes,

Jess Roche
